Education is the foundation for progress. We need to build a global citizenry fluent in the concepts of climate change and aware of its unprecedented threat to our planet. We need to empower everyone with the knowledge to inspire action in defense of environmental protection.
Environmental and climate literacy is the engine not only for creating green voters and advancing environmental and climate laws and policies but also for accelerating green technologies and jobs.
Humans are consuming natural resources at an alarming rate. For the past couple of decades we have consumed more resources annually than the Earth can replenish. Today humans consume the equivalent of 1.5 planets’ worth of resources every year and, unless something changes, we are expected to consume 2 planets’ worth of resources by 2050!
If we don’t act now to reduce this unsustainable behavior, we will cripple the planet and threaten the living conditions of future generations.
How can we help? There are billions Acts of Green to help raise environment awareness like planting a tree, stop using plastic or eat less meat. We can make a difference and learn how to reduce our individual footprint, every little gesture matters!
